About this place
One of the first dishes to catch the eye at Kingston is its salad spaghetti, listed on the menu as a combination of Japanese- and Western-style dressings. One diner described a plate topped with shredded cabbage, cucumber, radish sprouts, tomato, ham and scrambled egg, served with a mayonnaise-based dressing. It is a distinctive choice for lunch if you’d like salad and spaghetti together.
There is also a Japanese-style mushroom spaghetti. Another diner’s favourite was the tuna and squid spaghetti, described as a rich, tangy, creamy and mellow soup pasta. It is a separate order from the menu-listed dish, but may appeal if you’re in the mood for pasta served in soup.
Coffee options include regular and American-style coffee, as well as single-origin varieties such as Kilimanjaro, Colombian, Brazilian and Mandheling. For something more aromatic, try the café cappuccino, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon and accompanied by a fruity aroma. One account of a morning visit mentions thick-cut buttered toast with café cappuccino; the menu also lists buttered toast and ham and cheese toast.
